chassis lube
How can you find out where all the places are that need grease? The truck is a 2000 F150 4wd, I will be using a regular grease gun and also have a needle if needed. Any type lube recommended? Thanks

you might as well crawl under and look. dont know what the last guy replaced. like wilber said, the original ball joints and drive shaf universal dont have zerks. i think there is one on the idler arm? dont remember the tie rods having one.

There are only 2 or 3 stock IIRC, idler arm should be one and maybe some tranny linkage if you have an automatic. I am no fan of sticking boots with needles to grease them does more harm than good IMO.

I agree with you Galaxie, about sticking needles in the boot. I did make an exception once though. My pitman arm started squeeking pretty bad so I gave it the "IV" and it stopped.
On a side note: about 3 months ago I replaced my original tie rod ends and ball joints. I was pleasantly surprised that there was still a good bit of "clean" grease in the boot (90k miles).
