I recently traded my '97 EB for a 2003 EB. I figured after 220,000 completely trouble free miles I definetly wanted another.
It seems however that the 03 rattles and squeeks more than my 97 ever did, but the biggest annoyance is the power mirrors. They seem like the are stripped on the inside, when I go to adjust them they make popping noises and when I set my memory to auto adjust the mirrors and seat they are never in the right spot and I have to re-adjust them any way.
Has any one else experienced this problem? Any ideas on how to fix it? This truck only has 45,000 miles on it.
I guess you didn't buy the truck new, so there is no telling what the previous owner did. For the mirror problem, put your hand over the whole glass and put it toward the housing evenly. I suspect the the center cruisform is displaced and just needs to popped in. Other wise you might have some trash or broken pieces behind the glass.
03 was a new body style, so it's going to be a bit noiser. My bosses was quite though, so it is probably one panel that is making all the noise. Try setting a phone book on the dash and moving it around, if the noise goes away or changes you found the spot. A little closed cell foam (topper tape) should be enough to shim it out.

Just out of curiousity, does yours rattle from around the driver's door panel area?
Yes it does, and it drives me crazy! It's just a little disappointing when my '97 Expy didn't have any rattles when I traded it with over 200,000 miles.
I have the door rattle and mirror issue both on my 03 Expy. I read in another thread that you could buy rubber or foam stoppers and put them where the factory door stoppers hit and it should have less wiggle room. I have not had a chance to try it yet but I am hoping to soon. I have also noticed that the rattle only seems to come from the drivers door.
As for the mirror, I have no clue. It really drives me crazy because it will work fine for a while and then one day move completely out of place and I either have to readjust it using the power switch or manually do it.
