new castle is awsome but hard to find here.when we have company we drink cheap beer like budlight.when its just me out in the shop its moosehead or that clear stuff found in masion jars and is brewed in the hills of ky,tn
If I'm stuck with it, I can drink some Bud lights on a hot summer day outdoors (they taste OK after ~3). I'd rather have something else though. Budweiser though...no thanks.
I like Mexican beers mostly. Modelo, Pacifico and the costa rican Imperial is pretty good too. I'm picky but like a wide range, it just depends on the circumstances. If it's hot out, something light (still want some flavor though). If it's cold, something a little heavier.
We went to the lake to go sail a while back and sent my buddy on a beer run...forgetting he has poor taste in just about everything. He came back with nearly a case of Steele Reserve. I'd forgotten how truly horrible that stuff is. We had a great time, but that stuff is dangerous.
although i agree with schlitz and once in a while i drink city brew (la crosse lager) to support my town's economy (espcecially during oktoberfest.. lots of brewskis then)
Some years ago, the Milwaukie Brewers were playing a home game against the Cleveland Indians. Milt Famey was the Milwaukie pitcher that day. About the third inning when Milwaukie was at bat, Carl Johnson, the Cleveland 2nd baseman, looked over into the Milwaukie dugout and there was Milt Famey at the end of the bench drinking a bottle of Schlitz beer! Next half inning in his at-bat, Carl Johnson drew a walk. The next batter, Jimmy Singleton, was walked by Famey also, and was then pulled out by the Milwaukie manager. Johnson and Singleton came in to score. Johnson pointed to the Milwaukie dugout where the empty bottle of beer was still sitting at the end of the bench and said to Singleton, "See that beer over there? That's the beer that made Milt Famey walk us!"

Michelob Amber Bock is good,
Sam Adams Winter Ale, Boston Lager,
Cold Spring Ale available at Barleycorns, a local restauraunt.
Most anything from a micro-brewery with a full flavor, not the watered down crap.
Pabst Blue Ribbon, baby. Everyday.
I love the good beers too, but I'm a drunk on a budget.
Favorite of the micro-brews is from the Stone Brewing Co. in San Diego, CA; Arrogant B@stard Ale (7.2% alc.) They also make a Double B@stard Ale (which I think is 10.2%), after you drink a couple, you feel like you just ate a steak dinner!
Fosters (I can get a twelver on base for less than a twelver of Buttwasher off-base)
BECKS - "UUUURP! Und schlosse...."
SAINT PAULI GIRL - Another fine brew.
SIERRA NEVADA PALE ALE (YEAH! I second that!!!) (Beware the Porter, unless you LIKE waking up on the floor...)
STIENLAGER - Fantastic combination of beer qualities all in one bottle (from New Zealand)
DOM BRAU - Excellent, but good luck finding any of it anywhere except Germany. It translates more or less directly to "Cathedral Brew" and is very well made.
My reasoning on German beer is that the German brewing purity law virtually ensures you will not be as screwed up in the morning as you would be by something (for example) fermented out of a rice mash and then carbonated. Many domestic beers in the USA are made exactly like that, and are thus - tasteless.
If you put an exact amount of grain alcohol into some carbonated water, then add a few hops and let it sit for a week you have BUD, MILLER, Etc...
