We have built a 400 with aussie heads & hyd. roller, similar to the original project engine. It is using the 351C single plan intake & the intake adapters. We will be drilling the adapters for the FI system also. It will be on the dyno in a day or so.
We have also started on a 351C, it will be getting a 4" stoke & CHI 2V heads. The stroker needs to be done by the beginning of June. We will try to keep you up to date with pictures & video's
I may stop in yet, but my time is always needed....work, wife, sleep, etc. I figure to be an excited customer sometime hopefully this year. Got to mock up my fitment first.
tim, did you use the bones or ford's lifter keepers? If you did use ford's (which I'm assuming you did) did you have to file down the corners to make them fit right?
also need info as far as cam spec, compression and how it does on octane.
It looks like I'll be starting mine on propane which means I won't get the octane info.
Are you going to dyno it with the EFI?
What EFI setup are you using?
BTW, mine is on the road. I went over to Elkton, Maryland during the week, and south to Delmar, Delaware today. they were no more than one hour trips, but I went through a lot of fuel.
It's not totally dialed in yet, and I have a couple of bugs, but it runs great. It's scary to break traction at 50 mph.
I am trying to get a digital video, so I can post it.
We are only running this on the carb. This will have the machined spacers for the injectors. Not sure what the customer is using for the remaining FI system. We used the bone on this set up. I will have to check the cam specs.

Dan,
What kind of mileage ARE you getting with your engine combo???
Craig
Not very good, but I have determined that it is way too rich. I have to lean it out some. I don't expect to get any better mileage than the low teens. That is on 93 Octane E10 fuel.
I am scheduled to attend an All Ford Show at Delmar Dragway on the 20th of May. I hope to be able to make a couple of runs down the track. I need someone to make a digital video.
I think that I have a Video Tape camera around somewhere. Maybe the tape can be converted to digital somewhere. I'll look into that.

Tim,
Do you/would expect any difference in performance with a 400CI Cleveland vs. a 400 with a similar setup?
