Ok heres a good conversation starter. First fault is see is that its a "77 f-350 4x4". Well 4wd f-350s didnt come about til 79. then i read on and find quote: built tough with a complete double frame. Well that makes me feel better. He just stacked his 2wd frame onto a 4wd frame. OK is it just me or do you guys think this cant be safe. I mean seriously stack frames? Has anyone here ever seen/done this before? And Id liek the opinions of anyone here with serious technical knowhow. I think this is why theres lift laws.Guys cobble stuff like this up and when it comes apart it makes everyone with lifted trucks look bad.

What a crock of scheiss, Ford never made a short bed Camper Special, the VIN is for a 1977/79 F150 4X4, The Frankenstein monster has 8 lug wheels, and all manner of swaps...it's a nightmare. And ppl are bidding on it.
As P.T. Barnum said: "There's a sucker born every minute!"
F14HCY20258
F14 = F150 4X4
H = 351M
C = Ontario Truck Assembly Plant
Y20258 = 1977
First F350 4X4 = 1979

the truck does sit nice n all, but looks can be deceiving..... at least he didint put in his add that "he has the front driveshaft but needs to be installed" routine that everyone on ebay selling a big truck puts on there.
If its a stacked frame turck then he may have had to register one frame or another as the VIN soooo based on that it could be an F150 sitting on a 350 frame.
It looks like its actually built fairly well....obviously I would want to see it in person but....Id take that truck over one that has oh say 12" of blocks all around. Stacked frames is how they used to get lift on the old monster trucks after all...think of it as the original "body lift".... lol..... and if it were done right....Id drive it.

If you're surfin' E-bay, you've likely run across the 460 powered Supercab with the 18 wheeler sleeper strapped on the back with rusty exhaust stacks. I can't give you the item # cause I'm at work and a victim of people like myself who look at E-bay while at work, search for it...it's ugly and amateurish!
Its also a shortbed truck so it can't be a F-350. He has all 4 of his Boggers on backwards too, they are directional tires.
I actually think he has the tires mounted correctly, but he installed the new frame and body facing the wrong way, oops!.
Seriously, I have seen in the past, swamp buggies built with stacked frames, where the 2 frames were welded together. It's basically nothing more than a body lift. It's pretty strong as long as it's welded correctly. On the other hand, these buggies aren't driven on the street at 60mph!.

I did see that one. All I can say is "What a piece of _ _ _ _"
One of my buddies built a 79 F250 with stacked frames. The motor was on the bottom frame. When you looked under the hood it was WAAAAAY down there.
I wish he would have kept the truck the way it was before he stacked the frames. When he got it it had a 4" lift, 33s, and a 460 that would spin the tires in 4 wheel drive.
From the Looks of it. It's only stacked under the bed to allow the bed to tilt up. They cut the frame right in front of the bed from another truck cleaned up that frame done the mods that allow the hydraulics to sit above the original truck frame. and not interfere with the drive shaft and rear axle. it is hinged at that back just like a dump truck.

As flcracker9 said "What a piece of ----". I love the description, if it wasn't for the pics I might have been fooled into thinking it was a neat truck.The butcher that built it could have at least removed the clutch pedal.
