I have got another problem on my hands. I have gotten ahold of a pull behind bushog for an ATV but it doesnt run. It is missing the wiring and it has been sitting for quite some time now. I know how to rebuild the carb and small tune-up things like that but I need to find out where all these loose ends of wires go to. I am trying to find a service manual that will tell me how to fix this engine but I cant find anything anywhere. The engine on it is a Honda GXV340 11.0 hp 337cc. The serial number off the engine block is GJ02- 2078946. If anyone has any idea of where I would go to look for such a thing, I would be open for anything. Right now, any help is good help.
But if the wires are attached to the engine but not to the various components of the brush hog, you'll probably want an OEM manual for the equipment itself, not just the engine. But the engine diagram will help to decide where things go if you are at all electrically savvy.
I don't find wiring to be terribly difficult, but this is a case that without seeing it, I don't think I can be of much help.
edit: I looked at that wiring diagram. There should be enough there to get you going. Those safety interlocks are a painful neccesity! But if you take things one a t a time, you should be able to put it back together.
Get the starter to turn over the engine, get the engine to make spark, make your interlocks function properly, then make sure the allternator is charging the battery and you'll be good to go!
None of the wires are attached to the bushog itself. It is all on the engine. It is missing the On/Off switch, and other things like that. All I got is loose ends of wires. I'll see if that manual 00BlueOvalRanger pointed out will work. Electrical isnt my high point but I'm not afraid to try to work with it. I typed things in GOOGLE but I couldnt find anything like that.
