engine has been shotpeened, magnafluxed, bored .030 over, new 400 crank (it was origanally 351m) hardened ford rods, all new bearing (cleavite). Cam is a crane energizer with .554 lift, 284 duration, chromoly pushrods, heads were shaved .022, new valves 2.19int 1.71exh, crane double valve springs, crane rockers (not roller) double roller chain, MSD 6A-L ignition system, Edlebrock 351 torker intake, Holly 770 truck avenger carb. Most guys will say, "ah, those heads need to be on a cleveland stroker in a mustang on the track". but this was my idea, my truck and i thought it would be cool. Not a combo you would see everyday. when you pop the hood it gives us something to talk about. it will spin those 42's no problem. Like falcon says, its between 425-450 horse.

Oh, you guys will like this, I work in the Operating Room here in florida, and when some passes on or the heartbeat stops we say "Code Blue". hhhmmmmm....so i has a decal made up with the words code blue on it, one....where i work.....two...the truck is obviously blue and three....we all no what the "heartbeat of america is" its pretty cool. Code Blue is in blue lettering and there is two or three ekg spikes and then it flatlines across the rest of the windshield

Hey Rowdy I'm jealous, hopefully my truck will be something I can brag about someday. I got the same platform as you to work with. even the same color so we'll see!!! By the way does your 78 have the round headlights? Mine does. I like em alot it seems like most trucks I see have the square ones.

and i'd be swapping back to the '76-'77 grill...maybe even on my '79 bronco. Never cared for the 78-79 grill except on the bronco...wondering what the '77 would look like on it....square headlights are for squares i know...bad attempt at a joke.
