I talked to 2 of the 3 Ford dealers here in Abq and they have no info on which years/engines they will fit. But they can get them for $27. I've already got a spare so since I don't need one right away I'll most likely wait till someone installs one and posts up on it.

Best thread of the month for April AND May!!

Gold is used generally because of its non corrosive properties.

Zinc and copper have a strong tendancy to oxidize. Gold and Paladium do not do this, that is why high end electronics have gold or paladium coating, or contacts.

The contacts you see on the comptuer chips today are just electro plated. The older cards had more gold.
FYI. Gold has conductivity less than copper or Silver.
#1 Silver
#2 Copper
#3 Gold(but does not oxidese)
People lost money on this thing.

26.63 with tax. They are usually 27.62 but we have an account at our stealership so the price was 25.00 plus tax

Talked with my dealership parts guy (Bryant). He said that the info TJ posted is correct. The dealership doesn't have any yet but, they should received a shipment in 2-3 weeks. Price is $27.63 or thereabouts.

10bands - the dealership I talked with is Dan Wiebold here in Nampa, if you think you might want to talk to them. I haven't checked with the IH dealer in Boise but, a price compare between IH and Dan Wiebold might be interesting.

Cool Cps Question

PLEASE TELL ME THAT THE NEW CPS WOULD NOT HAVE FIT THE ONE I JUST HAD REPLACED ON MY WIFE'S 96 PSD FOR OVER 400 DOLLARS. I WILL BE GETTING A SPARE FOR MY 2001. GETTING READY TO MAKE A TRIP OUT WEST AND WOULDN'T WANT TO BE SITTING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. GREAT SITE THOUGH, WISH I HAD READ IT TWO WEEKS AGO. WOULD HAVE SAVED MYSELF BOCOUP BUCKS.
