fixing scratch

Yesterday i noticed that some idiot keyed my tailgate. The scratch is about 6 -7 inches long. What can I do to fix this other than bringing it somewhere to get it fixed. I'd like to try and fix it myself. Any suggestions? Thanks

It depends on how deep the scratch is. If you drag your finger nail across it and can feel it, you will need profession help. You could hit it with touch up, but it may never look just right.

If it is a really light scratch, you can rub it with a scratch remover or sealer/glaser.
