Expensive injector cleaners
Have you ever tried to buy a bottle of fuel injector cleaner? There are lots of them, from about a dollar to about ten dollars. I recently bought a 1990 XLT with 91k. I figured it could use a bottle of the stuff since I didn't know the last time it had been in there. I finally bought one of the expensive bottles for this first cleaning. I think it was the Valvoline one but I really don't remember. It was about $8.99. I had the vehicle tuned up a couple of days later, and the mechanic took off the throttle body, which he does routinely as part of a tune-up to see if it is dirty. He said my throttle body looked like it came off of a new truck, he couldn't believe it had 91k. It was spotles and shiny. So if you are wondering if these things work, I no longer am. I'm convinced. And I'm not a dealer, ok? I don't even remember what brand I used.

Expensive injector cleaners
How did your fuel injector cleaner clean the throttle body? It's a long way upstream from the injectors, and nothing but air passes through it.
