Speedometer

What do I do? I bought a 74 with a 78 front end the speedometer is off. I think its because of the lift. What do you do to fix this

Put as speedometer cable on it ?

What do you mean the speedometer is off ?

Off -reading the actual speed ?

Sorry about this one too. It does read but its about 20mph slow. When i'm doing 50 it says 30

You need to change the gear on the end of the cable. You are about 40% off so you would need a gear with 40% more teeth. So if you have say 12 teeth on the gear now, you would need approx. 17 teeth. This should get you close. Most Ford dealers stock the speedo gears.
