Guys, I just bought a fiberglass heat extractor hood. I need to get it fit properly. Where are the adjustments made? In the hinge/truck mount or at the hood/hinge mount? The hood mainly needs to move towards the grille and over towards the passenger side alittle. Any help would be great.
thanks,
Steven
Generally to move those directions, the adjustments are maded at the hinge-hood connection, the holes should be slotted of slightly larger than the bolts to allow for adjustment. Generally moving the hinge-fender location is for up & down movement at the firewall. That being said, some hinge-fender mounting points are set-up for for and aft movement. I don't remember on the 01 SD if this was the case as i haven't looked in awhile. Look at the mounting holes and see if they are slotted or larger than the bolts and this should give you a good idea as to were to make the adjustments.
