I bought a drivers side hinge from LMC for the hood of my 64 CC and it fit ok. I just cant get it adjusted right. The hood sits a little high when closed next to the cowl. Anyone have any tips and hows everyone feel about LMC'c products? I need the right side also, but not sure if I should but it from another company.

Are you in the LA area? I know of a local wrecking yard that might have some good used hinges.
The hood hinges LMC sells are the same ones DC sells are the same NOS ones other people sell be aware that this is happening. Make sure they are genuine as the repops carry the correct ford part number and are sold as NOS.
Were the hinges tweaked that you replaced? Did you make sure the hood mounting location is correct as they tend to be pulled when the hinges tweak or the hood poped up during driving making any replacement moot as the underlying problem is still there. 1/8th or 1/4 inch tweak will cause the out of line you mention.
This is gonna sound all wrong, but I replaced my hinges with a good set from a junk yard and the hood sat high in back no matter how much I lowered the hinges. If you loosen the top(or forwardmost)bolts that hold the hood to the hinge and put shims between the hood and the hinge it'll lower the back of the hood.
Can't explain the geometry as I'm a mechanic and not a body guy, but the body guy where I work told me to do that and it worked just fine. Got my hood sitting level with the cowl now.

Wow, I can't believe there are still some available (nos). Back 8 or 10 years ago my wife got some nos hood hinges for me & I thought then it was a small miracle.
Must be a few around because of the F800/1000 using them up till 1979.

Those used hinges may look OK, but looks can be deceiving.
All 1961/79 trucks have the same problemo.
Ppl slam the heavy hood down. Over time, this bends down the hood lock plate that the latch attaches to.
When this occurs, the hood flies up...tearing out the so-called safety catch that isn't worth 2 cents.
When the hood flies up, this causes the hinges to stretch! You can usually tell if the hinges have stretched, because the back of the hood will be higher than the cowl panel.

The hinges do not fit 1979. Post #2. I typed: Fits: 1967/79 F800/1000. 79 is a TYPO! The hinges fit 1967/69 F800/1000.
I didn't see the truck the hinges came off of, but all the pivot points have very little slack, and with minimal application of some spray white grease to the hinges and the latch mechanism the hood opens and closes more easily than many new vehicles(and about 1,000,000% better than it did with the old, bent up ones).
I'll live with the shims.
