well i know they are going to be lower...but in the description they make it sound like they can make it to meet your dB requirement....
although if i did buy a 10 series i would just get a loud one anyways...i am not to concerned about noise in my area...most guys around here run straight pipes.
If most people get away with staight pipes you should be fine. I know here in MA you have to have a baffled muffler to pass inspection with "no excessive noise". I know guys with Dynomax Bullets and straigh pipes that don't have a problem. I huess it all depend on where you go and who you know.
Strait pipes sound a little cheap. I put Dynomax bullet glasspacks on, and it sounds increadable. Its no quieter than strait pipes, and much deeper. I dont know what size exaust your running, but my 2 1/2 inch system only cost 35$ per glasspack.
You can do both. Some people put them infront of mufflers to quiet the truck down, but most people use them as mufflers. I had one on a '87 Ram and it sounded good. They are the best bang for your buck. Here's the link to them:
