The WTS light is integrated into the gauge cluster and from what I'm to understand the techs can't tee off a wire for it like they used to. They might have found a work around since I had mine installed though.
I put one in my 2005. The wait to start light is controlled by a data signal to the IP cluster. As far as I know there is no way to use this signal. Mine has a wait to start timer I think its set for twenty seconds. That seems to be long enough for the winters here in NY.

they probably installed a PULSE TIME RELAY, user-adjustable
I am going that route as well Viper 791 unit
When I had mine installed the tech said he had to program mine for a longer delay as the glow plug weren't getting enough time to warm up. I think the preset times were 10,20, 30 seconds from what he said. Mine is also set to 20 seconds.
Same ending, different story...My Viper install on the '07 required the timed delay on the wait to start and works good. The biggest thing different on the '07 is that they had to install a module to send a false tach signal to the remote start, because it kicks off when the truck is trying to warm up. After the module was installed it worked perfectly.
