Glow Plug/Injector Harness Tester

I wanted to get a test harness for testing the glow plugs and injectors like the Ford manual lists. The cheapest I found was $80 on Ebay. I really did not want to pay that, so I went to Ford to just buy the connector to make my own. Ford didn'y hve anything so I called International and that guy did not have a clue. Then last week I stumbled upon this website, http://www.source-products.com/public_html/index.html that specializes in Ford harness connectors. Sure enough they had the connector. The only bad thing was that they do not do online order. When I gave them a call to order one, they were the nicest people to deal with. I got my connector the today with the pigtails already attached. So for less then $30 buck I got the glow plug/injector harness tester.

thanks for the info that is good to know i think i will call and get one too. nice to have one in the tool box.

Great info. Thanks for sharing. Since I'm not fluent with this issue from a diagnosis standpoint, can you share the part number and details about how you use this thing?

Well, I'm primarily interested for the potential for constructing a break out box. It appears they sell the harness plug for the UVC connector. I'm not sure how he plans to use that for a GP check as I would simply ohm the existing one but I'm thinking BOB. It's bookmarked for contacting them when I do that along with boost leak detector along with..........

A breakout box is in the works, but for the time being since I don't have the most stable hands hold the multimeter lead to glowplug pins I can clip on a test lead to the pigtail.
