Spring Auto shows.
That thing was a Horrible conglomeration of parts. I wish I would have had my camera. Oh that stuck out and the Red 55 1/2 ton truck in the car corral. $22,000 seems a little steep, but to each their own.
The phones usually do jam up during the show weekends. I was able to get a bunch of things I didn't need. One being a shelby style front valance for a 67 mustang Which the paint is drying on between coats right now.(it has to go 440 miles tomm starting around 12:00) But for truck parts I got my speedocable, stainless headlight trim rings, heater switch, vent window handle, and the necessary stuff for color sanding and 3M buffing compond. That and I was able to spend the weekend with my dad so it was well worth the 18 hour round trip.........I guess.
I did keep my eyes open for the tall guy with the black and white Carhart hat but there was over "sight" to see on a nice warm, sunny Saturday, if you know what I mean
Glad you found something, most of the stuff I found was way over priced. Again like I mentioned in other posts, I think a lot of people are mistaking rust for gold. I did find some other items I was looking for for other projects I have going. I also bought a nice Cleco fastening set for $25, they'll come in handy next time I weld sheet metal.I love Spring!!
awesome trip to stirling, perrrfect weather, nice drive down, 1/4 way along we stopped to help a fella who was having brake probs inna 56 big window, turns out it was a maiden voyage & they were just set up a little tight. we arrived a little after 9 and got the 5th last place on the show lot.......... biiizzzzzeee!............hadta be well over 200 cars on that lot, the swapmeet was well stocked, good mix of auto stuff withjust the right amount of vintage cool non auto stuff mixed in, wasn't really there to buy much, but did pick up the stickers & globe for my ol' gaspump. i think the joke of the day was some fella hadda 50 ford panel there completey gone from about 2 feet down, not a straight panel or trim anywhere on it, looked like it'd been hauled outta a swamp somewhere i overheard him tellin someone he was askin $2000, for it but MIGHT entertain offers.............i was thikin less than scrap value bein as nearly 1/4 of it was missin to rust ...... wind got up midafternoon and quickly turned the name of the meet from stirling 07 to dustbowl 07, as a result by the time we got back to the panel the showlot was pretty well cleared out.........didn't bother me though, just offset alla; the bugs i picked up on the 2.5 hr. drive down (heh heh). driving directly into the wind made for fun to say the least on the drive home, arrived back home zactly' 12 hrs to the minute after we left home this morning, washed up dried & quick dusted the interior put'er away till next weekend, nuther swapmeet/carshow hour and 20 away....see all the same junk from this weeknd that didn't sell(heh heh), truck ran just dandy all the way there & back and i tell ya that power brake conversion surrrrre made a more pleasurable experiance of it cuz there is a few good size hills on the trip.

I was wanted to go to the Red Deer and Edmonton shows but during the Red Deer show I was In Edmonton shopping for a truck and found my 1948 F68. The weekend of the Edmonton show I only had one day to get my truck and haul it back home to Grande Prairie.I also liked the pick you posted of your build. I hope you leave them on you site for a while as they are an excellent guide for those of us who bought a truck that was already partially disassembled.
