I have a 2000 ford excursion diesel 7.3 that I put an 8" lift w/38' tires on I also have a 5" banks exhaust and a edge power chip and need to have the gears changed. What gearing should I have it changed to? Feel free to e-mail me. TLAbles@sbcglobal.net THANKS!!!!!

Here are a few pictures of my excursionhttp://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/tlable.../ph//my_photos
4.56 would be more economical if you Excursion sees more highway than off-road trails. 4.88 would be less economical than the 4.56, but would be more off-road worthy. 5.13 I would only put on if I was going to see a lot more off-road situations than highway. By the looks of your Excursion it probably doesn't see a lot of off-road situations with that custom paint job. I would go with 4.56's since it would put your highway rpm pretty close to what it was before the tires and the gear changes. I am going with a similar set up(8.5" Pro Comp w/38" toyo open country M/T) on my 99 F-250 CCLB diesel.
