Ignition Upgrade

It's time for plugs and wires, and the coil packs are original [1997 4.6]. I have been looking at an upgrade kit from Troyer Performance. It includes
Denso Iridium Plugs, Msd Coil Packs and Accel Wires. Any one have other suggestions or recomendations? Thanks

Denso's are not worth messing with unless you are blown or running a good 350hp.

I have a 97 with the 5.4. I plan to buy the Granitelli coil packs from Troyer when I do my next tuneup. They put out 60,000 volts & don't cost as much as a new set of oem coils. Mine have 130,000 miles on them & 2 have gone out. I figure it can't hurt with my high mileage

How about for the 5.4? Getting ready to upgrade my 99' at 80,000 figure its about time to do some prevenative maintanence and she seems alittle shy on the horsepower side lately.

Check out the set of Granatelli coils I plan to use on my 5.4. Go to troyerperformance.com for info on them.He is a FTE sponcer. I recommend Mike Troyer highly. I have his electric fan kit & a custom tuned Superchip on my truck now. I'm waiting for him to ship my SCT programmer.
