Coil pack diagnostic?

Is there a way to check a coil pack? Normally I'd just meter the primary to the secondary coil, but with these new fangdangled things I dunno where to start on them. Brand new plugs and brand new wires with good connections and multiple cylinders on one coil pack doing stupid stuff makes me think I have a dying coil pack. Any thoughts?

What brand plugs and wires were installed?

You can always swap the coil packs and see if the misfires move to the opposite cylinders.

I meter mine for comparison. I foolishly replaced mine with Accel COPs and found 3 bad. They have more windings but not good on quality. Bad coils can sometimes not throw a code but not work right.

I replaced the plugs with Motorcraft Finewire plugs gapped to .054, and the wires with motorcraft wires from fordpartsy2k.

Good. Can't go wrong with OEM.

Try swapping the coil packs and see if the fault codes also swap.

kaboom: Metering COPS is close to a useless exercise. Besides, his truck doesn't have any.
