I still need to remove the screws from tha radio?

no you dont need that special tool. That is for someone who wants to remove the radio without removing the dash. I find it easier to take 20 seconds (that's all it takes after a few times) to unclip the dash to get the radio out.

I am not talking about the radio, I am talking about the screws identified by arrow 1 in the illustration.

Those screws are above the radio yes, and if you can get to the radio from underneath you can pop the radion and get a wench or socket for 3/8 or smaller, it's been a while. I did it once and kept the screws loose enough to be able to pull the dash right off and tight enough to keep the radio supported.
