There's a dead mouse in the system. Is there a link here on how to remove the dash. Is that the only way to remove the mouse? 93 f150

This is from the 96 service manual. I'm guessing yours is pretty close to the same. Good luck.

I got the blower motor off and there's stuff the mouse put in there. Looks like there pee every where, I need to get some enzinme spray. I got most of the dash apart except the drivers side, there must be some large nuts under the steering wheel?

To fully remove the dash shell and support, you need to remove the steering column, and also that metal support bracket that surrounds it. Sort of a pain but you can get everything out in under an hour of you use that link as a guide.

removing column

Can't find any pictures about removing the column, in the advance search. Or the net.

Its not that bad. Pull bezel surrounding dash cluster, there is a joint towards the floor where the shaft connects to the steering gear going through the firewall.

The steering column has I believe 4 bolts, look underneath, you'll see them. Also you'll see the ignition module needs to be unhooked, and if you have an auto, the linkage for the shifter, and also the little white tube that connects the shift indicator on the dash cluster.

1996 Bronco/F-Series Workshop Manual

Maybe that can help you

What's that 1/2" thick foam peice that's against the firewall, is it for heat or sound? It's the last peice to come out. Micky peeeeeeed all into it. Man does it stink it's in the yard now! Do I need to order a new one? Help, I have PSD. I can't take the smell of mouse pee anymore! Thank God my truck is not my daily driver. Oh, I guess that's were the trouble started.

That foam is to block both heat and sound. Honestly, I took mine out when I fixed my cowl leak. It was damp and I don't want anything like that to be holding water and starting rust.

Didn't notice any difference in heat, and no trouble cooling the cab down on hot days either. It's a bit louder in the cab now but then again I also pulled the padding from under the rubber flooring, so take it for what it's worth. I don't mind the little extra noise, and I usually have the radio up anyway.
