from Jim's pic it looks like the check valve is staked in place and is not serviceable but it pretty hard to tell. I have a pump at home but its off my 97 so its not the same. I would probably look into doing the anti darin back mod that Jim gave the link to. it will be cheaper than a new pump and should set you up great if later you wanted to go to a 17* superduty pump.

Can all you guys come live at my house for a couple of weeks so i can get some of this work done without screwing it up ? Maybe i can make it a reality show, like " OVERHAULIN BIG MILLER'S POWERSTROKE". Yeah, that has a nice ring to it.
