LOL..I just had new cats and 40 series Flowmaster muffles put on my 93 f-350.
Sounds like crap !!! what's up with that ?????????
I have shorty headers and they custom bent new 2 1/2 " pipe and it sounds stock.
Kinda pissed

Glad your going to get a real Flowmaster on there. I bet he screwed you over. good for you for calling him out on it! He sounds like a dull bulb. If you guys want really loud mufflers on a V8, go for the Flowmaster 10, 20, or Outlaw series. They will have your ears ringing in no time. Dynomax Bullets are pretty good as well.

hey CDR!

Just came back from there and the last time i will ever go there. Owner spent 30 minutes just trying to reassure me that they dont do this on purpose and that the muffler was indeed not a flowmaster but what they said was a "flowsound" muffler.

Owner was scared of losing his flowmaster contract and the guy who installed it sounded scared *****less after I reported them to flowmaster. I have a feeling the guy might who put on my flowmaster might get fired but then again, hes the only one who installs flowmasters, according to them.

What I dont understand is why would he have a stock of "flowsound" mufflers in the first place? they look just like flowmaster but arent. Well after they saw the fake one, the guy opened a new box of flowmasters and installed them on. Im done with this exhaust stuff for now. I dont have time with finals comming up to deal with this bs.

No problem. I bet he gets those knock offs dirt cheap and charges the Flowmaster price for them. Sounds fishy for sure. So how do you like the real Flowmaster?

yeah who knows how many people hes knocked off. this being my first time getting any exhaust work done, i would of never known if i didnt come on to this site and do research. its not as loud as i thought it would be but im not complaining. just have a peace of mind now that this is all done

That's good. I really liked mine when I first got it on my Chevy and then after about two months I got too used to it. Still a good muffler. I'm glad that you got it all worked out and didn't let the business run you over with his bull crap!
