Finally hit the muffler shop and got the Walker muffler installed. I must admit I was a little leary when they started, but it looked good when they finished. You can now hear the turbo through the exhaust. I did have a shhhhhhhhhhh sound before, after I installed the 6637, when the truck would shift to overdrive. That seems to be gone now and I am trying to find walls to drive by!!!!
i stayed in the slow lane under bridges after i did the muffler delte and i loved it but now i went back to a mufler but i also got 4" pipe all the way back
I found myself driving the slow lane too, Steve! The walls aren't real plentiful in Oklahoma Rick, but there is a small stretch that I travel, about 1/10 of a mile, with exits close to each end. Well you can probably guess what I did. Exit, turn around, go again. I know it sounds kinda goofy, but that's me. If I put a tip on that is bigger, will I gain any sound from it?
I noticed that if you stick them out a little past the rear quarters the sound is great, but moved mine under the quarters for a better look, to each is own...Congrats on the exhaust...
4" turbo back with no muffler and a 5" tip sounds the best of all. Maybe 5'" is louder, but I frequent a lot of RV parks and I have other PSD owners ask me what I did to get such a great sound out of my exhaust.
Thanks Rick, I'll look for a tip. Mark, I agree that the 4" would probably sound better, but this was much lass expensive for me at this time. I don't drive daily, just on the weekends and for trips, so I went this route for now. Thanks for all the input!
