I am coming up on 30K and I plan on doing the tranny service myself. I am looking for a new pan that has a drain plug in it. The factory one from what I have read is really thin metal and I don't want to have a leak if I was to add a drain plug myself. I am looking for a steel pan with a drain plug already installed. I have an 05 w/ 4.6 v8. If anyone has any info I would greatly appreciate any help.
That page says to call if your application is not listed, haven't done that yet myself. Seems like they would want to offer a pan for the best selling trucks in the country.
Take it to a welding shop, its a simple job to braze on a fitting to adapt a plug. Ive done it many times. Also you can braze a fitting to adapt a
tempature sender for a trans temp guage.
