My old and new work trucks (pics)

Old pic, getting the replacement this week and heeding the advice of Kepler4, gonna put a spot weld or two on some bolts back there, been keeping my tailgate locked too. Someone cased me for sure, there are SD's all over the place up here. They just waited and picked me off, don't want it to happen again though.

Yeah, I am keeping my chin up. A good guy on this forum offered me his bumper for a more than fair price as he has a really nice aftermarket one. My insurance will only cut a check to an autobody place, so I could not accept, regardless, made me feel alot easier about the situation.
I am gonna take some good advice and tack weld it on there once it's replaced. Been keeping my tailgate locked as well.
Back to the thread, i really love my Bronco, it is a beast. Not the best tow vehicle, but it is nimble and the powertrain is rock solid. I love tooling around in it. Night and day with the F250, which is a beast in a whole other way, the tow a boat up a mountain pass at 70 mph type beast. I probably don't need both trucks, but the Bronco is paid for and never let's me down. I use it to commute the whole 2 miles to work, which would not be all that good for the PSD, too short a drive. The F250 get's all the towing and road trip work, the Bronco bops around town and get's some 4x4 time here and there. Funny how the boarder patrol and me see eye to eye on our rigs.

I feel the same about my 92 150....it's got 217000 on it but she keeps on running.
I look at it this way...I have the best of both worlds...a diesel and a gasser. Just depends on what's in store for today! The gasser has an 8ft bed with a shell...the diesel has a short bed and no shell. Both can tow so I'm really set....or I will be when I make that last diesel payment!

You and I see eye to eye.
I've heard all of the horror stories (knock on wood) about the 6.0...mine's one of the early 03s and I have 42K on her now without a bit of problem.
Nothing like hearing that turbo spin up! I'm still impressed with the giddy-up-go, plaster your butt in the seat feeling when I get on it!

Wierd and I did not exactly know it when I bought it but......
MY PSD is the muscle car I always wanted as teenager. Nothing like several tons of metal acclerating fast enough to kick your head back and make you hang on. I absolutely love flooring it up mountain passes and watching gassers try to keep up. They usually let off when they realize they dropped two gears and are redlining.
