Another thought. Some copper and aluminum crush washers are made outside the USA. The metal is not good to use as a crush washer. Most crush washers are of a soft copper, etc. Should use only once then discarded. Also I've seen washers with a rubber center for sealing, must be rubber made for fluid used. Check at your local auto supply stores or ACE hardware. I think DOT 5 brake fluid doesn't harm anything rubber, check to be sure. Have a great day, chuck
Nathan, Prolly can...but I haven't a klew on how to do that...and maybe that's not a good idea to teach me (wife says she will, hasn't yet)...FTE might run out of paper when I start posting pics.
1973/79 & 1980/89 books are on microfiche, only book on CD: 1964/72. Everything else is the printed word.
The upper pic on pg 33 shows a block similar to what someone asked about.
I'd prefer all the refs to be books..faster than fiche or CD's, but there's only so much room on this 6' dameter table.

FINALLY!!!!! I drove the truck around the entire neighborhood today!!!! WOOHOO!!!
The leak was cured by using the new brass block and blot but taking everyones advice went to AutoZone and got two new washers with a metal ring and rubber center used for oil pan bolts. They were thicker than the copper and it went right together no leaks. My buddy came over and we bled the brakes and then got it running using a 1 gallon gas can drove it around a little, got a little braver and took it all through the neighborhood, even got it into 2nd gear for a while.
Thanks for all the support and tips and ideas. Back outside for some more fun!
