I would start by not going to that dealership any more. It sounds more to me like a plugged fuel filter or the screens in the tank. you will need to get a pressure guage on it and see what its doing while you're pulling a load. If you'll let us know where you are, more than likely there is one of the 7.3 brotherhood close by that would be more than willing to help you diagnose and fix this and any other truck problems you have. Its what we do here!
Oh, yea... "stealership" as last resort as local mechanic couldn't figure out what was going on... he's not got the computer stuff... I'm zip code 28139... Rutherfordton NC. Near Lake Lure (Dirty Dancing?) between Charlotte & Asheville NC. I'd love some help.
Mechanic did change fuel filter (it was filthy!) I had been told the oil change place was keeping an eye on that, but they weren't.
Ok, Good. now we're getting somewhere. !st thing you need to do is start a new thread titled something like "need help in NC" or something like that. then describe whats been going on and whats been done so far. A new thread will get the attention of those in the right places. i know we have brothers there. several really sharp ones.
A 1/4" socket set is what you want to use here. If you don't already have a set, get one! You will use it for hundreds of things on this vehicle. 3/8" is almost too large.

"Craftsman" comes to mind.

Hello again Pop. Mine's been leaking too, few drops on the driveway every time I stop. Just retired so I will see how my 1/4" socket set does. But I think I will order the "O" ring first. Or do you want to sell me the one that it appears you will never use LOL?

Thanks Pop! I do have PLENTY of tools, to include 1/4 drive sets. You must have taken a great deal of time, insuring there wasn't any oil on those threads!
Been out of town to visit my Dad (Korean War Vet), who I hope the Lord takes soon to end his suffering.
