1-2 Shift error

01 F-350 Diesel DRW.
I had some mod's done after purchase and one of the mods was a shift module installed inside the Xmission. It raised the pressure for firmer shifts, that part works well. Usually on startup while in first gear just before going into second gear on the 4-r100 I get a shift error and the overdrive light flashes. I have had the code read and it always comes up 1-2 shift error. This doesn't happen all the time but happens often enough to be a neusance. After I shut the truck off the code clears and the " Off" lite stays off until the next occurance. I have been wanting to run this by you guys and see what you're suggestions are.

What mods? and early or late 2001 you might be stuck with that diode clutch.

Did you have the problem prior to the install? if not, sounds like it could be the valve sticking and causing a delay in the shift.

No! I did not have the problem before the valve was installed inside the Xmission. I saw the guy make the install what finally happned was a cylinder was removed and replaced with the mod I bought. I think the price of the cylinder was around 70 Buks. If this thing is sticking I dont think I can go in that far into the xmassion and check it out. I got scared watching all those little ***** rolling around that stuff ain't for me.
