i apologize for the confusion. yes the dashpot that i'm referring to is the EGR and we have that hooked up to a vaccum source on the intake manifold. i do not know the location of the EVR though, and not even sure if its still in the engine bay.
would the EGR cause the motor to flood itself? we've been having issues with starting the truck. with the fuel relay connected the motor will flood itself during startup. if we disconnect the fuel relay, then it will startup, but the moment we reconnect it, the motor instantly shuts off. we've replaced the fuel pump, filter, and FPR, but cant seem to come up with an answer. we're stumped on this one. i cant thank you guys enough for the help you given us.
