My Ford Excursion Maintenance Manual Says 165 Lbs-Ft!
I have an '04 X 4X4 6.0L and my Ford maintenance manual calls for 165 Lbs-Ft of lug nut torque for my 8 lug OEM aluminum wheels. Also, the manual recommends each time the nuts are removed that they be cleaned and 1 drop of oil placed between the nut and attached washer prior to installing. I use ARP moly lube vice the oil. I also torque the nuts in 3 increments: 50 Lbs-Ft then 100 Lbs-Ft and finally 165 Lbs-Ft and always in a criscross pattern.
Some manuals recommend 150 lbs, others recommend 165 lbs. I ran into the same situation when ordering my Accutorq impact socket (the torq sheet that came with it had both specs for the F-250. My manual states 150 lbs, so I ordered the 147 lbs socket.
