Finally got started on my project this Saturday.Bought the truck in Jan. and had a knee replacement the 17th of Jan so that is why I just got started. We put it in the shop about 10am and by 3:30pm we had it ready to box and put in the Heidts crossmember. I just ordered it this morning. I didn't think I would be able to move this fast. My Nephew is keeping me jumping. No really he is doing a lot of the work and I am just handing him stuff. Will keep you informed as I know I will have a lot of question. Wish me luck.

I posted pics in my gallery if you want to see. Gallery is Max E 54 F100

Great start Max. The health issues tend to slow us down a bit but it looks like you've got it under control. Great to have a nephew helping.

I had the other knee done last year and it is doing fine. Still tender but much better than the pain before surgery. This one is doing ok and I can't stand for long periods or the deep knee bends required to get down on the frame can only be short periods. I'll keep pushing and I think it is great therapy.
Will keep posting progress pics as I go. Thanks.

Truck looks like a good start. Keep us posted and give up lots of pics. I started mine the first time this evening. I have been working on it for a year now. I am almost there. I have to wait on the wrecker body to get blasted and painted. What I am saying is it will take time, but be well worth it.

Unhappy

Got my disk brake upgrade and crossmember today and of course they sent me the wrong crossmember. I called and the person I ordered from answered the phone and checked. He made the mistake and is sending a new member and return slip, no charge, out today. Now all I have to do is try and check UPS when they bring the right one and exchange.

Bummer on the wrong parts but very nice ride and gallery!
It `s great that you have help, makes it go much better.
Take care of your new body parts though, we don`t want to see you back in surgery.
