Invalid ID engineering number.
No part numbers marked on parts after 1956, just casting or ID numbers, when applicable.

The only way to get the Ford part number is by the ID number or the Calibration Code, as there are no application charts for emission parts after 1979.

I actually believe it starts with E3tz. Try a google search for a picture to see if it looks like yours. I see Green sales has one.

I believe this is the part number for a 1996 - E7TZ-9H465-B

I will pull the old one off and see if there are any numbers on it....

VALVE ASSY., (Thermactor Air Control Solenoid Vacuum)

But, you will still need either the Calibration Code or the ID number off the part, because we're all in the same boat.

After 1979, there are no application charts for most emission related parts.

I did find this: E7TZ-9H465-B (reference in post #6) = Various 1987/98 Ford trucks, mounts to the 9H472 EGR vacuum solenoid bracket.

See 9H465 & 9H472 in pic.

I was probing around the internet and some local auto parts today. The part is listed for the 87 and up years for $35 at O’Rielly’s. The orientation of the electrical connection is different, and also on the 85’ the 4 solenoid electrical connectors are keyed differently. But I would say the 87’ part will work. I will have to change the connector and the male connector is available to fit the 87’ solenoid, but just 2 spade lugs will work.

I did find the 87’ type on the internet for $17.

I’ll get the original off in a few days and check for a part number, and also look for a calibration code. I will call Green’s…. Thanks
