Check upper and lower ball joints yet? Lift the front and grab the bottom of the tire and pull, push on the top and vis versa if the tire moves...then them needs replaced.
Yeah definately check for the ball joints I just had to replace both the upper and lower on the drivers side and passenger side...just turned 100,000 miles on a 99 F-250 Super duty 4-wheel drive. But now my lockouts turn really hard and I locked it in the other day and it was making some weird noises...are lockouts hard to changeout? Would that be what it is?

A friends had the same symptoms on his 2000 f250. It ended up being the wheel bearing assembly. It was shot and was binding the hub.
Ok I will check the ball joints this weekend. Good place to start. Just thought i was feeling it up high by my feet but i know how that can be deceiving
