Hey Guys, At work Today i finally got my test strips. I got em for free so that was pretty sweet but they didnt give me any information on how to use em. I asked a Powerstroke Mechanic and he didnt know (No big surprise there) But there white strips with a red and yellow patch on them. HOW DO I USE EM! Thanks
No they didnt, That sucks! Can someone take a picture of the chart and send it to me? That would help me out alot. Im takin a 6 hour trip tomorrow in my dads truck to pick up my truck and i also want to test that out.
PM me your e-mail..ill send you a pic..its too big to post here...its made by wix..im not sure if the chart will help you with a nother brand though..you really should get the right chart...napa or any diesel shop will test it for you..
ok I did the test anyways the top strip was a orange and now its a green and the botom patch was pink and now its purple. What color would i go by? Maby il understand it better with the picture. PM sent!
Yea its a little blurry. The dark green is a give away, I think it says 55 then a degree sign? But i got the dark purple on the bottom strip. And the only thing to that on the email u sent says Flush. What do u think?
Ok i got it now, My PH level is at 55 Green and the bottom is pink, But a little darker than the ideal and not as dark as the Flush one. How much of the additive do i add?
The test strips have to be read after waiting 20 seconds from dip, and before 45 seconds total time. Do not dump a whole bottle in without knowing the correct reading, this can also cause cavitational scour, just like not enough SCA. I will try to email you a picture of my white bottle of FleetGuard strips, w color chart, sat morn. Congrats on your new truck.
