My '71 F100 is starting to rust all over the place, the truck was rust free 5 years ago. I am planning to have it restored within a couple years. What's the best temporary rust stopper? I'd like to try to slow down the rust as much as possible. Is ATF still ok to use?

 

Try Rustmart/Rustmort. It's a good rust inhibitor, will turn black when cured.

 

I like Rust Doctor and heard good things about Rust Bullet.
