egr cleaning... tech's
what is the best solvent to clean the egr with some say carb cleaner some say brake cleaner? and will i need new o-rings or can i reuse the old ones? thanxs guys oh ya ill post pics later---22k on the clock

sorry guys no pics? it really wasnt that dirty, but i cleaned anwyas, i used the carb/fuel injector cleaner you add to your gas in a gas vehicle. i think it worked great... took me verry little time with a toothbrush to get it down to metal? maybe the ulsd has something to do with it, like i said i have 23k now, ive never towed, 80% highway miles always use dk- whit/grey, and very rarely idle the truck for more than 3 minutes only when its cold out?

I just cleaned mine, it was pretty gunked up, I actually cleaned it with electric motor cleaner, gasket and o-rings looked ok. trucks been blowing a little white smoke in the mornings so we will see if this helps.
