Does this wheel look OEM?
What size would you recommend on the 16" tire line
It'll be a slow process for me. I'll buy one wheel and one tire. Try it for fit. Then buy one more of each and put them on the rear and see how I like the gearing. The truck is geared low enough, but there is always the question of how I'll like the power with the larger tire. It's just something you can't tell without trying.
I want to get into an 85% aspect ratio tire. I'm shooting for 235/85R16 (32"). I need to get under the truck for a better look, but I think they'll rub the radius arms at full turn - something I don't want. Backspacing can correct a little, but then it can start running into the fenders. Can't win.
Anyways, we'll see.If the 235/85R16 tires don't work out then I'll probably just use 215/85R16 tires (30"). I know they'll work because the truck has 30" tires on it now.

After finally getting to drive this a little I measured my gas mileage. 16.2 over 260 miles. Not to bad. It'll be interesting to see if the 85% aspect ratio 32" tire helps or hurts mileage. That is if I can get it to fit.
The wheel is a 15x7. It has 4.25" of backspacing. It has a 3.25" center hole. The current backspacing looks like it would be very close with a narrow 32" tire. The only place it looks like it stands to hit is on the radius arms. I think 16x7 with 4" backspacing is a common aftermarket wheel. That is what I'll shoot for first.
Oh, and the lug nuts are 13/16".
