ATF or power steering fluid?
I'm running a Saginaw pump from a 95 E-150 on my 95 F-150. I'm currently running Type F in it as that's what my factory shop manual calls for in both trucks and vans. GM, with this same pump, calls for power steering fluid.
I'm wondering if you guys have a preference or if one seems better than the other. Mine makes slight noise when it's cold, but definately the Ford whine my old pump had.

Type F is pretty much obsolete now, power steering fluid is fine but I think it is just atf without the red dye. I had a Ford engineer tell me to use Mercon 5 when I was trying to fix a noisy pump at one time. It did help.
