I got my 95 F-150 converted to a Saginaw pump today. It's amazing how much quieter it is. My old pump was by no means a loud one, but it did have the distinctive whine to it. At idle now all I can hear is the fuel injectors clicking under the hood and a nice exhaust tone. I wish I would have done this a long time ago. I do notice it feels like it has slightly more power assist on the road, which will take a little getting used to.
I got everything off a 95 E-150 van with a 351. Pump, bracket, and pressure hose. So I can now guarantee the bracket is interchangeable with a 302. Everything bolted right into place. I had to do a little minor bending of the pressure line but it fits nicely now.
I saw a post here about possible differences in the steering box fittings, possibly needing a longer belt, and the a/c compressor bolts may be different. None were the case for me, probably because I stayed with the same year. I used all of my old bolts. I'm running Type F ATF as that's what the book calls for in both trucks and vans in 95.

I didn't have any problems with any 90's vans as long as same motor .But you used one off 351 and it fit yours. Glad it worked out. I have 2 E-vans lined up to get parts off of . you bet those pumps will be in my garage. They are nice for turning with larger tires .

Hey good info - just a question - are there certain models/engines that the Saginaw pumps came on as OEM if one wants to go the "recycled parts" route?
As far as I know most had the Saginaw 88 up or so (According to local wreckers part book) . Mine and the 2 others have bee 93 -95 vans and bolted right up to 302 and the 351 also works as stated above. You need pump mount and pressure hose. In another post gut got a Saginaw pump that fit right in but needed the different hose. I'll have to read up on it.
where did you find your pump? ive been looking for days to get my hands on one and have come up short handed.... A little help?
damn you revived an 8 year old thread. But I'll answer your question. There were e series vans years 93, 94, and 95 maybe more not sure. They ranged from e150-350 with 5.0 or 5.8 engines that had Saginaw pumps with brackets already installed from the factory. I got mine at a pick and pull junk yard for 40$ you will need the high side p/s hose from the van everything was a direct bolt on. Took less the an hour to install and the end result was quietness. Best 40$ I ever spent.

Yes, 460's had the Saginaw pump.
I have one on my truck.
Not sure about serpentine belt trucks, but I had to get the mounting boss off the front of the head of the donor for my V-belt setup.
Yep, because the one on the truck is better and fits perfectly onto the saginaw pump. The high pressure hose has a different fitting on the pump, so you have to use the van high pressure hose.

now its getting revived again.
so i have a 94 f150 5.8 351w. what is the best van to get one of these?
do they not make aftermarket version? i would love a new one instead of used out of junk yard.
thanks guys
When I got the one for my diesel Bronco, I found somebody selling the pump on eBay and asked them for a price to throw in the bracket and hose. IIRC the whole thing was about $50 shipped.
