the add mark only takes 2 quarts to top it off. has your dip stick tube slipped out of the bulk head fitting on the pan.

well you should be able to crawl underneath and near the starter is the bulk head fitting. the tube is just a slide in fit, if the upper support that is bolted to the valve is loose or bents it could be an issue. if you mess with the lower end make sure the large nut on that fitting is secure so the fitting doesn't fall into the pan. thats bad! or next time you change the oil add 14 quarts and start it up. shut it off and check the level. if its not full your dip stick is not reading correctly
