vin tag
i can't remember, who was it that could reproduce door vin tags? also i saw a link for build sheets from ford, but it kept saying my vin was incorrect. can i get one for my 77 f350?

on the form you fill out. it said the dealer and vin were not right. so i named the closest dealer i know. but it wouldn't go past the vin. am i just crazy? i will try again if thats all it is.

Ford will supply new Rating (VIN) Plates or decals if the previous plates/decals suffered body damage or the plate/decal was somehow removed. An special procedure ordering system is designed to protect the vehicle owner in order to get new VIN plates. Only Ford Dealer parts personnal can order the VIN's. The registered owner of the vehicle has to be listed, the work (repair) order has to be furnished. If an outside shop is doing the work, they too must be listed. The parts department also has to give their secret P&A code. No vehicle owner...then or now can procure a VIN from Ford...for one obvious reason. Theft Protection
There is a time limit, only vehicles that are 7 years or newer qualify (at least that was the procedure in 1997).
