I've read the manual on how to disable that "seat belt warning chime" (If you're not wearing one).. You know, the 'latch seat belt 9 times within 60 seconds, wait for the little light to come on , do it one more time, and you're done", only it doesn't disable the system..
This is on an 06 F350 --- Anyone have any suggestions, besides "buckle up!"
on the drivers side under the seat there is a wire that goes to the seat belt. Unplug it. I did this on my 05 and 06 and it works. No more dinger. It stops it for the pass side to. So just unplug it under the drivers side seat and your done.

I am only *speculating* here, but wouldn't that disable the airbags as well? I believe they are generation III airbags that deploy with the amount of force necessary by how heavy the person is sitting in the seat, and also deploy with varied amount of force depending on seatbelt use. Just my thoughts. I'm not sure about that though.
When I'm out checking jobs all day, in and out of the cab 20 time, It gets annoying. Just ran the belt around the the back or the seat and hooked it up.
That takes the question of the airbags out of the equation!!
Just an FYI for those of you who have read this. The airbags work based upon sensors in the bumpers pressure sensors in the seats. Some insurance companies are now looking into crashes further and deciding how to pay some medical bills based upon if seatbelts are worn or not. Since i believe it's the law to wear them in the majority of the US you might want to keep that in mind. Just looking out for your guys in case you're ever involved in a crash.

There was a miss print in the earlier manuals so you should check the tech folder for an update on the correct proceedure or do a search for the correct proceedure as it can be disabled through a process.
Hey nubee???how annoying do you think it will be when someone slams into you and you go flying through the window?? Just a thought.....
Hey jetch114...........Read the first post again!! He was asking for opinion, I gave HIM mine, Nice of you to share yours with me, or are you volunteering to make my next truck payment......
On my '07 I tried to follow the instructions on this site, didn't work. Went to my owners manual and the instructions were different. Tried them and it didn't work the first time. Did it again and no more ding but still get the the warning light on the cluster.
I had to do mine twice also. Follow the instructions exactly, I didnt wait for the light to come back on the first time. That buzzer sure is annoying. Almost as bad as the key in the switch noise. Im glad I found this sight to fix both issues.
