I have not had a chance to have a look at if for him, but if I remember correctly they are not that bad to do are they??

you don't need to remove the turbo unless its a californai emmissions model. Your should be able to tell my the emmission sticker ont he passenger side valve cover. or just by looking at the fuel pump as if it a cali model it will have a black hockey puck looking thing between the pump and the steel lines
if its a federal emmission model then a 1 1/4 inch wrench will get in there and get the banjo bolt off.

If you have not changed one on a PSD, or it's been awhile, read this thread. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/5...ight=fuel+pump
It has a lot of good info.

Mr. Bob another thing to add to the removal of the fuel pump. A 1 1/4" wrench will get in there but it is a biznach to do. I used a 1 1/4" socket with a 1/2" drive and a small extention to get the banjo bolt loose. Then I used the socket by hand and a universal (to get leverage, there is fuel everywhere) to spin the nut off. You'll understand once your under the hood. The universal is to get leverage cuz the strait extentions are to slick to spin when fuel is on it. Good luck and let us know if you need any more help or info. The first link that plowhand put up there is the one I used and I got the job done.
