Kens, Wasnt saying flowmasters are better for performance, no muffler is truly better for performance. I run mine on a diesel, which needs a straight through muffler, but I like the flowmaster sound and the flow is more than stock so yah. People like the sound of flowmasters, that is why they are so popular. The small HP gain you might get with another brand isn't worth the sound loss. Its all personal preference but when it comes down to it more people have flowmaster, not magnaflow. Im not knocking magnaflow at all, I don't use them but I have heard them and know people who use them and my preference is just flowmaster.
not to make people jump to another site, but feel free to head over to f150online.com forums and read what they are saying about exhaust...
magna, magna, magna (to save you the time)...
i'm not partial to either one. I prefer the flows for sound, but it's been proven that they give up some low end power. magnas are better all around for performance. i just bolted an el cheapo glasspack on if that tells you what i like for sound. cheapest and best sound imo.
then again, that's my .02.... could be totally different from someone else's...

i really dont think any cat back is going to give younoticlable "low end power" the little bit it MIGHT give you is not going to be noticable at all, so i think ill stick with better sound!
yeah, and that's the point that i was trying to make - i went with a glass for sound and cost. if i was worried about performance, i woulda bought a supercharger
