Sct

Ordered my SCT Xcal2 about 3 days ago from lipd now just need to wait to get it to give it a try, and try to sell my edge on ebay. I am getting it with mostly mild tunes I don't race and really don't want the temptation.

LIPD has something cool they are going to try after many long conversations with Matt and Jermey. A sure enough mileage tune for towing and for normal driving for those not interested in HP/TQ numbers. They (me) should start testing this next week, and real numbers within a month. I drive sometimes as many as 350 miles per day over the same routes, so the MPG numbers should be fairly realistic as what to expect. I sent my livewire back to them2 weeks ago, and am waiting for my gauges and SCT xcal to arrive. Stay tuned.................

Sounds good.. Let me know bout that.. The new firmware for the Livewire helped a lot.. Dfuser and I are going to be doing some custom tuning now.. But running off the Can performance tune I've gone from 12.8 to 14.8-15.5.. That's romping it now and again..

You won't need anything more than you already got coming, it will just be an email filed for a minimum fee.

I asked Matt if he would need to de-tune it, he said no. He didn't think it was necessarry to get the numbers I was after. He would leave it the stock 325/540 though and no more.

What Matt is going to try to achieve is the tuner that is disciplined and not as dependant the drivers right foot, where it will see more equal results by all users. I have seen similar numbers to what you are, running the canned file on my livewire, however I could make it get worse as well.

Wb, yours will probably ship out on Monday as that is when they told me mine would ship, Matt and Jermey had a few problems this weekend, that set them behind a bit.

Just got back from a 700 mile weekend test of the SCT with LIPD street tune.
16.2 mpg with one bad injector and ~1000 lbs in the bed, 70-75 almost all Hwy 250 miles. 17.1 mpg with new injector 78-82 for 450 miles. hand calc'd .
Guess she aint wore out yet!
Nice meeting all the guys a BDP's Dyno day.
If you have not been, put it on you schedule guys.

I installed my xcal2 flash tuner/custom tunes from LIPD almost a week ago. I too wasn't after big HP gains. Right now I am still on the "street" tune. So far, I am more than happy with it. It has not thrown any codes, and to me, the truck hauls *** now (way better than stock and that's my comparison). I'm looking forward to towing with the tow tune now.

Jeremy and Matt are awesome guys to work with, and I will not hesitate to spend money with them again.
