I just got an email from Matt with some tunes to try out. VERY excited. Unfortunately he didn't send along any instructions on how to load the tunes to the SCT and then to the truck. This is my first custom tuner, so I need a little help. I'm not a complete moron, I'm sure I can figure out how to load from the SCT to the truck, but don't want to mess up the transfer from the computer to the SCT.
Some of you guys that are already using the SCT and custom tunes- I would really appreciate a quick "HOW TO".
go to www.sctflash.com and download the liveload3 software onto your computer. Get a usb cable that will plug into your computer and SCT and follow the instructions per liveload. After you get them loaded onto your SCT you're ready to program your truck. Good luck and holler back with questions.
I'll go ahead and post this for you and everyone else to reference later
Save the .ll3 files I send to your desktop first.
Then, download the "LiveLoad3" software and Xcal2 drivers from either the disk included with the tuner, or from the link npccpartman just provided.
Open the Liveload software (do not click on the files I provided; they will not open). This will prompt you to plug the tuner in to the USB cable, and the program will open.
The prompts are pretty self-explanatory from there. If you have any technical troubles with it, myself and SCT are both readily available for support
Sorry so slow. I'm out of town at a fishing tournament, so been at the show all day. The winner got $1,000,000 this evening. A first for tournament fishing, it was pretty cool. npcc- I'm actually in Razorback country- Hot Springs, AR.
I got the tunes loaded into the truck with no problems and drove around town a little, but will need more time on the road to get a really good feel for them. Definitely more pep, they feel pretty good so far!!
I'm new to this site and to diesel. Just bought an 06 F-350 Lariat LB CC, everything stock. Am a senior citizen who pulls a 30' 5th wheel. Only want some more hp and better mpg. Only getting 10 pulling/16.5 empty. From everything I've read on this site what I should do is go turbo back exhaust and an economy/tow SCT program. Is that correct?

JOPATK--that's all you need. Give Matt a call and see what he recommends for a specific tow tune and he can get you fixed right up.
DS3--I'm a native Arkansan. Fished from border to border and never fished all the big lakes there. I've done a little tournament fishing and love chasing largemouth and smallmouth, but my passion is really chasing crappie. I think of all the big clear water lakes in Ark., my favorite is Greers Ferry. Some call it the dead sea, but if you know where to drop a gitzit for Mr. Brown Bass, you can get your string pulled on a regular basis. Good luck on your fishing and hope you enjoy the tunes from Matt.
how do i get a hold of matt, so i can get a price on an sct tuner for my 2006.......i have a diablo sport predator i am currently running, but i want to upgrade to the sct............has anyone out ther ran a diablo sport and an sct on a 6.0 ? which one is better?
Lots of discussions on this and the concensus here is the SCT XCal2 with custom tunes from Matt at SDT. I love mine but I have never had a Predator either. I just like the fact that they are customized tunes from a reputable tuner. As well, Matt is planning on creating a online database to retrieve all of his available tunes.
He is busy with the new company but just click on his website link that is in his sig and all of the contact info is there. Pretty sure the price is still $450 with lifetime tune upgrades and some really good customer support.
