6.0 Code Reading , Cheap OBDII vs. SCT vs. AE
I threw the wrench light and my SGII won't show the code, I was thinking an AE, but don't know how much use I'll get and I have all apple laptops, so it won't be compatible. I wanted to do a SCT tuner sooner or later, and if it will read the codes that the SGII won't, maybe that is the ticket for me, and I'll just look up the codes on-line and diagnose from there, how much can the SCT do that the SGII cant, and AE do that the SCT won't, as far as I can see it looks like buzz injectors, and change tire size, on the AE. Will the SCT show the wrench light codes SGII won't, If I need to go the AE route, so be it, but if there is a generic cheap scanner out there, that will work, maybe that and the SCT, will get me going. I've also read the hand held, even CAN enabled wont show wrench light codes, so that might not even be an option, looking for some input on what experience anyone has had if the use these units.
