- I intend to tow. Does it change the trucks rated tow and cargo capacity?
No.. The advantage of the 4.5" Shackle Lift is the retainment of the factory springs which are built for load, not lift.. Unlike aftermarket lift kits based on Suspension, their suspension components are built for life and ride.. Unload they will compress. You will however need to go with heavy shocks for your loading ability. I would need to talk with DR and verify their shocks for towing. I do however know they are valve for the truck and the shocks are specific for the 4.5" Hanger kit which is to keep the factory towing capabilities so they should be sufficient.

You do have useable travel in the shocks.. Much more then factory. You will however need to shave a few inches off the back of the bumper.. Thats the only situation I had with 35's.. I would say about 4-5" of more travel..

Yes it does replace the block in the rear.. Stacking blocks is not safe.. Especially for towing.
Taller.. I can measure it from ground to wheel well tomorrow... Estimating I would say the bottom of the windows come to the top of my chest.. I'm 6'4"..
Thanks in advance for any information you may provide.[/QUOTE]
lborgens has a 07 like me Storm. So the front lift will be a replacement coil spring. As far as I know you just let them know what engine you have and they will get you a replacement front spring with the same rating as your factory ones. The front spring is 4.5" taller (assuming the 4.5" lift). The rear lift is done by replacing the block like Storm said. The factory block is about 3.625" and I think the replacment is 6" so it lifts the rear about 2.375". This puts the truck pretty much level. Look in my gallery for picks of an 07 F350 with the 4.5" DR lift and 35x12.5R20 Toyo Open Country M/Ts.
Like Storm, I also suggest ordering the parts from Marty at Truck Toyz. They were great to deal with and will give you the best price on the parts that you can get from an authorized dealer.
